Our Team

A bit about me

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I completed an Honours Specialization in Psychology at Brescia University College, and a Masters in Counselling Psychology at Western University in 2015. I’ve received training and experience in a variety of therapeutic settings including CMHA, WOTCH Mental Health services, the Traumatic Stress Service through London Health Science Centre, Psychological Services at Kings University College, and Health and Wellness services at Western University. I provide short-term and long-term individual psychotherapy to adults 18+, and work with a wide range of mental health concerns including mood disorders, stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem/confidence issues, relationship issues, grief, life transitions, substance use, and trauma-related disorders including PTSD. In addition to my clinical practice, I am passionate about teaching in the field of Clinical Psychology as a contract faculty at Brescia University College.

How I can Help

There are many reasons one may seek therapy. Whether it is to have a safe space and listening ear, to work through difficult thoughts, feelings, and memories, or to learn strategies to make active changes in your life, I truly believe we can all benefit from this unique support. As human beings we face many barriers in the world such as societal messages of normalcy and happiness, past traumas, loss, relationship conflict and stigma around mental health, which impacts our ability to being truly mentally well, to live our lives fully, and to be the person we ideally want to be. I believe we all have the potential to heal from the past, to build awareness of our strengths, to change what can be changed, and to accept and love ourselves for what cannot be. If you are unsure how therapy can help you, we will first explore your needs together to identify what this may look like for you.

I practice from a person-centered and integrative therapy approach which means I work collaboratively with each client to adapt the care I provide to best meet their needs. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Narrative, Dialectical Behaviour (DBT) and Emotion-focused therapy (EFT). My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, change-oriented, strength-based and affirmative. I perceive my role as your therapist to support and guide you in making the change you want in your life possible. Throughout therapy I am open to feedback to ensure that you find our sessions helpful, and that you feel heard, respected, and safe.
